‘Love Kim x’ Album Tour At Bolehall Manor
What a great night…superb venue and a wonderful crowd.
Heading to Tamworth, to a jazz club we’d never played at before, to a venue far from home, we really didn’t know what to expect. But, as soon as we arrived to a warm welcome and a wonderful room to play in, we knew it was going to be a great night. And, what a great night it was! It is fair to say that the room was buzzing during our livelier tracks yet you could hear a pin drop during our more thoughtful renditions.
It seems our performance attracted the largest crowd yet at this wonderful venue, which is a very nice bonus. We also received some lovely feedback:
“Just a personal note of thanks and the deepest appreciation for the opportunity to meet you all on Monday and for a wonderful evening of jazz played to the highest standard with such talent, variety and sheer enthusiasm! I have probably worn out already the two CDs that I purchased on the evening, they are absolutely wonderful! The feedback that we have received since the evening closed on Monday has been terrific and all concerned are most eager to see your return visit.
As you can read in the message sent by a wonderful gentleman (who together with his wife have been so kind and supportive since we took on the promotion of the club) the audience could have listened to you well beyond the 10.30 mark. John’s sentiments are a sound reflection of the wider feedback received:
“What a night that was — didn’t know what to expect but it was sheer joy to listen and to watch Kim and the men “at work.” Such energy — and her interpretations of some old ones were tremendous. We could have watched them for much longer, but they had to drive home further than us. She came across as a lovely lady who enjoys what she does and I hope that she was pleased with the turnout and audience reaction. I would imagine that there is some trepidation when you have to play at a “new” venue. Hopefully we will be treated to a return visit at some time.”
Incidentally, you now hold the record at Tamworth for attracting the largest audience figure!
On behalf of everyone at Jazz at the Manor we wish you every happiness and continued success, and look forward very much to your return visit.
